Site safety and safe working practices on this sort of project are paramount. The temporary access works required were carried out inside a live shopping centre, meaning both customers and site operatives needed the full protection of on-site safety procedures. Throughout the dismantle of the existing roof, large pieces of structure and glazing have to be carefully removed from site by crane — with the new materials correctly packed and craned-up to roof level.
